SWORN 1.0 Update #2 is LIVE!

Soulforged,

This update comprises Boss Rush mode, new skin rewards, enemy difficulty modifiers and additional quality of life features. See the summary of the 1.2 update below:


New Gameplay Mode: Boss Rush

More Achievements & Accolades:

  • Added four new achievements for beating the Boss Rush Mode with all four playable characters.

  • Additional accolades to earn in-game.



Boss Rush Mode:

Boss Rush takes place in a single-room, arena-style encounter set within Camelot.

Bosses have been reworked to fit the Camelot setting:

  • They now spawn Camelot enemies instead of creatures from their original biomes.

  • Visual effects have been updated to reflect their corruption.



New Character Cosmetics

Cosmetic rewards for defeating Dragon Arthur are now complete and available to unlock.

❗ Dragon Arthur has been reworked and can now only be encountered and defeated in Boss Rush mode



Enemy Difficulty Modifiers

The Enemy Difficulty Modifier system is now complete.

  • On higher difficulties, Corrupted enemies have a chance to spawn, dropping bonus rewards.

  • Corrupted enemy attacks are now fully implemented, featuring updated animations and VFX.

  • The Corruption system has been reworked to increase run variety and introduce more interesting choices while helping offset the added difficulty from Corrupted enemies.

  • Each door now has a chance to become corrupted, offering:

    • A range of possible corruption effects

    • Increased reward potential

  • Higher corruption chances also increase the likelihood of receiving enhanced rewards.



Codex Updates

The Codex now includes a Wishlist feature:

  • Players can mark blessings directly in the Codex.

  • Wishlisted blessings are highlighted in the Blessing Selection Menu, making it easier to track and acquire specific blessings for quests or unlocks.



The overall Codex UI/UX has also been improved:

  • Hovered blessings are now highlighted in white for better clarity.

  • “Any” required blessings are highlighted in orange.

  • “All” required blessings are highlighted in red.

  • Tooltips have been repositioned and no longer obscure blessings.




Changelog

The fix changelist includes some but not limited to following;

Rare occurrence fixes

  • The Player may soft lock in Round Table room on Squire difficulty when attempting to select round table challenge reward

  • Interacting with Nimue could softlock under certain conditions

  • Hub interactions could softlock under certain conditions

  • Monk and Rook characters could become stuck behind the bomb in the corner in Overlook map

  • The player may get stuck after casting "Blade Rush" spell into specific location in Hub World


Gameplay Fixes

  • Potions do not reset between runs

  • Particular Fae potions empty during run without using them after exiting previous run with "Exit to Main Menu" option

  • Arcane Recall weapon blessing didn’t always function when Arcane Blades hit walls or obstacles

  • Pausing the title causes Raving Blight's projectiles to lose momentum

  • Lady Agravain may deviate from her dash attack indicator if the user is invisible

  • Resurrecting while getting pulled by Sir Dagonet's hook results in the user being temporarily unable to dash or attack

  • The Run Timer continues counting time while in non-combat rooms

  • "Unending Torrent" Bo Staff Weapon Blessing is transferred to the Hub after a run

  • "Wall Slam" effect triggers on enemies in Deep Harbor without hitting a wall

  • Ultimate bar disappears when teammate dies

  • Weapons disappear from the round table after collecting the post-fight reward


Art/Text Fixes

  • Inconsistencies between "Blink Strike's" functionality and its description

  • Slippery Target blessing's activation chance is higher than stated in its description

  • Dice shop's "Max" message displays as placeholder boxes for non-Latin scripts

  • Alternative Boss weapons can be spotted clipping with swords on top of the Round Table on Squire difficulty

  • UI issues in difficulty descriptions for certain languages

  • Highlights in the Pause menu are not scaled for certain language options

  • Inconsistent formatting issues in the Blessing Codex

  • Defeating a Corrupted Axe Thrower during its corrupted attack leaves the spinning axe VFX permanently stuck

  • Run Info tooltips may display without hovering over corresponding Blessings, possibly leading to severe cases of tooltip remaining on the screen during a fight

  • Red outline persist on enemies after they are frozen

  • All corrupted enemies exhibit corrupted frozen VFXThe Freeze VFX texture on the Dagonet boss is not applied during spawning attacks

  • The description of "Vampire" Shrine Blessing uses a “max health” icon, inconsistent with its acquisition dialogue and functionality

  • Join menu's difficulty selection drop-down uses the last selected language instead of the current one

  • "No games found" is not displayed when using languages with non-Latin scripts

  • Inconsistent freeze VFX on the Percival boss's texture

  • The Landslide effect can be activated with the Icy Vortex if the player uses the ultimate during Mighty Dash animation

  • Gold pick up UI does not update for decreased gold drop modifier

  • Friends tab button prompt is displayed only with controller connected, the input does not open the tab in in-game menus

  • The Show Boss Health Numbers option is not aligned in some languages
